Kirk didn't believe for more than a few passing moments that Shego was involved in the game that the Inmates were playing. She really hadn't given him the impression that she was all for killing just for the sake of killing but it didn't hurt to check. And just check up on her in general.

He went to the Infirmary first instead of her room, banking on a hunch that she was spending a lot of time in there after the recent six murders, since that was her job on Security.

And look at that, he was right. "Shego," he called, gesturing her over to where he was, somewhere close to the door.

[Kirk's been on the Infirmary job for about a day and he still doesn't find it that difficult. Yeah, there's a lot of paperworky type stuff but it's nothing compared to the level that he found himself buried under as Captain of the Enterprise.

So he's kinda bored.

That means it's time to visit with the sickies.

Kirk tosses the PADD he was fiddling with onto the desk in Bones's unofficial office and enters the Infirmary proper. With a single glance around, he decides that T'Pol is the best choice and moves to her bedside.]

"Hey T'Pol. Feeling any better?"
captain_jtkirk: (let's do this shit)
[Kirk really isn't sure how he'd gotten from the pub on the Barge to this... forest looking place. There had been a involved, in that it was on the ground and he'd bent to pick it up and then there were here.

Could you even get trapped inside a book? Did that even happen to people?

But actually, Kirk doesn't care right now because he is far more concerned with something else.]

"Why am I wearing a dress?"

[ooc; This clearly before the log for everyone. Uh, just spam at will. I don't have icons of Kirk in a blue dress so use your imagination.]

[Kirk doesn't send out a message to the people on level three like the others do because the Borg is centered on this level and he has no way of telling who has been assimilated yet. So he decides not to risk it, picking up his phaser and turning it to the kill setting for the first time since he arrived on the Barge. Maybe those things adapt quick but maybe he'll be able to bring one down first.

People are going to be freaked out on this level anyway. Maybe too freaked out to check their journals so breaking in and grabbing them is really just the best thing he can think of without alerting the Borg to the plan. It'll go twice as fast if he brings Shego along for the ride.]

"We have maybe five minutes to get everybody out. We don't have time for anyone to pack anything. We're grabbing them and we're moving on. One of us needs to be watching the hallway at all times. You can do it or we can switch. Got it, Shego?"

[He levels her with an expectant look, as he's not going out there until they're on the same page.]

<font size=1[ooc; this is probably forward dated a little bit but basically, if you're on level 3 and you need rescuing, jump right on in or make an ooc note that it can be assumed if you're pressed for tagging time.]
