A New Message From Your Captain of Awesome

[Like before, Kirk's voice floods the entirety of the Barge. He sounds just as smug as before but now with an even better reason.]

So.

Are we done throwing fits over nothing, children? The Barge is sailing smoothly. No one's been hurt. We're headed towards our new port, which I promise, you're going to love.

And this is a time to celebrate!

My dear Inmate has graduated, it seems! And I think we should all take a moment to congratulate him on his success. You'll all find some champagne in your rooms. Toast at your own convenience.

There's nothing to worry about. Why would I make a mountain out of a molehill? Or in this case, help everyone else build the mountain?

Yes, I'm aware. But you never get anything good out of life without taking a little risk, don't you think?

The thing is, like many men who assume charge that is not theirs, you're probably very confident in your own command, and probably with good reason. The problem is, others may not have the same confidence and would be prone to panic. If you seemed a little more aware of the risks you were taking and the consequences of those actions, and made it clear you had no intent to permanently seize control, then they may have been less...prone to build mountains.

Perhaps, but a lot of bad is tied up with that good. I'm not sure the good will outweigh the bad.

Next time I commandeer something, I'll keep that in mind. The first time I did it, there wasn't very much room for panic, when an entire planet was on the line.

I'll take the chance anyway.

I think there was a lot less on the line here, perhaps.

Well, you do that. Captain, seriously, if someone tries to impose an...undue punishment on you for this, I will try and help you. Not because I agree with what you are doing but because... You're good men and need to be treated properly. I failed them la

I wouldn't have guessed from some of the comments.

Well thank you. You know, I don't think I ever got your name.

True. But there were issues of double standards and undermining what was already established with very little reason.

Colonel Edward Sexby. I'm no lawyer, but I have experience of mutiny. I'll point out now that I do think there should be punishment, but it should be reasonable. I am only prepared to step in if it is undue or unreasonable, but I will.

I promise. There's plenty of reasons.

A pleasure to meet you, Colonel. As I already said to Angel, I'll talk punishments after we all get our vacation, which by the way, was one of the reasons for this whole thing.

Very well captain. I take it we're coming into port soon?
