.054 - brain cancer ahoy

Bones, your stupid pills aren't doing anything. And I'm being mature and telling you about my physical ails as it's happening.

So fix it.

Please.

[Private to Uhura]

Do you know how to bake?

[Private to Shego AGAIN]

Seriously just give me some sign that you're still alive. That's all I want.

[ooc; Kirk has this because of T'Pol mad scientist attempt at mind melding during the flood. Thanks bitch, you gave him Vulcan AIDS.]

Well with that confident declaration how can I worry?

An hour, if it starts getting bad get off your stubborn ass and get down here.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-01-19 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
You know.

If it gets any worse than it is right now, I don't think I'll be able to walk.

For the love of- god damnit Jim, I'm coming. Stay put.

Yes sir.

[And Kirk is currently lying around in your bed like a bum, Bones. Which has new sheets. Aren't you glad to know him?]

[So, so glad.

After complaining to Peter about Kirk and how life in general was trying to put him in an early grave McCoy headed off, striding down the halls in a quick pace before reaching his room. When he entered he headed straight for Kirk, pulling out his scanner.]

It's just a headache Bones, I'm fine. [He muttered as he turned the scanner on.]

[Jim rolled his eyes, letting Bones do his thing without protest since he had pretty much asked for it.]

"It is just a headache. Albeit a bad one, but still."

No headache should be so bad it's threatening your ability to move. [McCoy answered, running his scanner with a furrowed brow.] When did it start getting bad?

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-01-19 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
"I dunno. It's been bad since the end of the flood. It's not getting any better, even with the pills. Hence the problem."

[identity profile] hyposprayed.livejournal.com 2010-01-19 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
[McCoy frowned.] If that's the case it may be psychological.

[He stared at the scanner a moment, eyes narrowing.] Or neural. What happened during the flood? And don't go leaving details out, every bump and scrape.

[Kirk frowned slightly trying to remember without making his headache worse because generally thinking about all of that evil depressed him.]

"Um.. I stabbed Sam. So T'Pol pulled some psycho mind meld on me. I didn't know you could use those things like that."

God damned green- [McCoy muttered as he turned on his PADD.] T'Pol, a word. [He ordered into the screen before placing it away and turning to Jim.]

I'm nearly positive it was the meld. We'll see when the commander gets here. [He did not sound happy. At all.]

"So... what? Am I stuck like this forever? Is my brain going to start disintegrating or something? Bones, if I become dumb, then you should just kill me. It'll be a merciful death. I'm not good if I'm not smart."

Calm down will you? [McCoy said.] T'Pol or Spock will know what to do. [In truth he hadn't the faintest clue- he had never even heard of mind melding until their mission began. Vulcans were never particularly wordy with any topic.]

[Kirk snorted and grabbed a pillow to pull closer to himself, just to have something that was comforting even though it didn't really provide him with any relief.]

"Are you sure about that? What if they can't help me?"

I trust T'Pol, in that reality or not. [McCoy answered, shaking his head.] I don't think she would have done permanent damage and I know she'll do everything she damn well can to help.

I met her other self, she may have been ruthless but she was still T'Pol at heart. [McCoy answered. Oh faith.] I don't know Jim, we'll see. If I have to we'll get the Admiral to give some supplies and I'll go in and see if I can fix the damage. Otherwise we'll have to trust T'Pol or Spock to know what to do.

[Kirk's eyes widened almost comically at the idea of brain surgery.]

"You know. You can make the same argument about me during the flood and I would've killed off everyone on this stupid boat if I thought it would get me what I wanted."

[McCoy gave Jim a sharp look.] Vulcans in the Empire were little more than slaves. That's how T'Pol grew up, that's probably why the Federation seemed such a shining ideal to her. Her counterpart helped us, helped me, and for whatever reason she had some of the T'Pol I knew in her.

[He paused.] It wasn't the same of you Jim, or Uhura or Spock. Or me. [He picked up his pack.] If you don't want T'Pol to do it then I'll call Spock but one of them is coming here and taking a look.

"I'm just saying that if she really was nothing better than a slave than the chance to mentally cripple one of the best captains in the Empire would've been a great chance and she would've been stupid to pass it up. And she's not stupid."

[Kirk shrugged a little bit and sighed.] "Yeah cause Spock digging around my head has always turned out for the better."

[He had to admit Kirk had a point, though he didn't say it out loud.] Fine, even if that's the case, even if modern medicine ca do nothing I'll just strike a deal with the Admiral. the bastard owes me after six months of free service. [He settled on.] You're going to be fine, trust me for once i your damn life.

"I'm still capable of movement and coherent speech so we're looking good."

[He was quiet for a moment.]

"So. Am I allowed to slap T'Pol if this was her fault?"
