.038 - we be the best of friends

[This is an accidental post. It only exists because Cooper pushed Kirk on top of his PADD, so for the first ten seconds, there's nothing to see but black but there is the clear sound of two men fighting somewhere in that darkness. There's the sound of punching! And grunts! And cursing! And Aristotle barking in the background!

They finally roll off the PADD so you get to see the ceiling! There's still the sounds of fighting until there's suddenly the pew of phaser fire and everything is quiet.

Kirk can be heard panting and cursing under his breath for about a minute, before he starts looking for his PADD to inform Kay about his unruly Inmate... only to discover that the stupid thing is already on. Fuckdamnitall. Kirk scowls at the thing for a few seconds, he's bleeding from the corner of his lip, his eye is already bruising and there's a another bruise forming on his jaw and he is not sorry :|]

He's just stunned.

Kay, I'd appreciate it if you came to get him out of my room.

Sure. Let me have your staser. [It amuses him to see Narvin be studly. So studly Narvin can be.]

Mind if I ask how it happened? [Though some things were obvious. Cooper mad. Cooper try to kill dog. Kirk no want dog dead. Kirk go smash.]

[Kirk shrugged a little.] "I just let him bark for a few minutes. I think he wanted to play fetch or something. Cooper must've picked my lock. I didn't think he was actually serious about killing the dog."

[Narvin passes his staser to Kay and hauls Cooper off the floor.]

He kills people, why wouldn't he kill a dog?

Yeah, the only reason I didn't think he'd go after the dog was I thought he'd be trying to play it safe until he could find a decent weapon. [He double checks the staser setting.] Do you want me to request a new room for him before the week is out?

[Kirk honestly just thought that dog killing was stupid and pathetic and those were two things Cooper hadn't really been since he'd met him. But he supposed he was just wrong on that front.]

"Yeah, I think that would be better for everyone involved."

It's a shame we can't evict the hoodlum child and install Cooper next door where we could keep a close eye on him. [Narvin doesn't much like their teenage delinquent neighbour and would far rather share a wall with a deadly government assassin than a boy who bangs on the wall and graffitis their door.]

[Git offa our lawn!] As long as he's no longer a problem. My apologies Mr. Kirk. Thank you for just stunning him. [He goes to hold the door for Narvin and his potato sack CIA agent.]

[Kirk can't take a whole lot of credit for it. That was just the setting it was on when he fired. He would've killed him just as easily.] "I can't promise anything if this happens again."

And this time I remember posting order correctly! \o/

[And Narvin carries Cooper out with ease. If Cooper wakes up earlier than expected, though, Narvin will probably drop him on the floor and hide behind Kay.]
