So.

What'd you crazy kids get up to while I was gone?

"You were worrying me for a while. Not so much anymore."

[Leia just smiles a little bit.]

I'm glad I'm not anymore.

[She remembers melting down in his room the night before they left.]

"Yeah it's good to see your smile again." [So he smiles softly at her.]

"And crying women really freak me out."

[Leia simply clasps her hands behind her back, smiling but glancing away to stare at his quarters.]

These are just like the ones on the Enterprise.

[Jim nods slightly even if she isn't looking at him.]

"Does that surprise you?"

[Leia turns a little to look over at him.]

I didn't recognize them before.

[But now, she certainly did; she recognized almost every nook and cranny of the room.]

"I dunno why you would. Not a lot of people spend time in my personal quarters in either place."

[Leia simply turns back to face his closet, where she distinctly remembers putting some of her clothing. She opens it slowly and, of course, her things aren't there but she's still somewhat marveling at how it's here on the Barge and almost so complete.]

Now I do.

[Jim shrugs a little bit.]

"You're clearly my favorite."

[Leia glances at him with a small smile.]

Of course.

"Thanks for being cool around the crew, by the way."

[And by that he meant, acting normal around Bones and Spock and Scotty even though they clearly didn't remember her."

[Leia turns so she can completely face him, hands folded neatly in front of her again.]

It was interesting to meet them under... different circumstances.

"Yeah. Interesting would be a word I would use." [And weird. And awkward.] :I hate whatever happened to their memories."

[Leia gives him a sympathetic look, watching him carefully.]

Is that what happens to anyone who leaves the Barge?

"I have no idea." [Part of him hoped that people like Kahlan still remembered him but he was sure that was too easy.]

"Maybe it's a protective mechanism. So you don't have to live with the PTSD."

[Leia frowns a little, as that would mean that Han would forget everything too.]

Not all of the Barge is that bad.

"It's not. But you never really get the time to deal with it like you should."

Unless you go on a mission. Or vacation, whatever you called it.

"And then your Inmate dies and almost kills someone else while you're away."

[Leia pauses and reaches carefully for his arm. She's usually not the type to initiate contact, but she figures this can be the one exception.]

I'm sorry, Jim.

[Kirk twists his arm to grab her hand instead, giving it a light squeeze.] "It's not your fault. I took the risk. And it's Shego. So I can't really be that surprised."

[Leia smiles and returns the squeeze briefly.]

I don't think I've ever met your inmate to begin with.

"She's the only green person on board. It's kind of hard to miss her. Always pissed off too."

I'll speak with her sometime, then.

[And she pulls her hand away from Kirk to look around his room again.]
