.072 - a hostile (not) takeover

[Much like when the Admiral makes an announcement, Kirk's voice permeates the entire Barge. Though unlike the Admiral, this voice is pretty easy to pin down. And it's glaringly obvious that it isn't the Admiral.]

Attention people of the Barge, this is Jim Kirk speaking. It's just two things so I'll be brief. The Admiral's not flying this thing right now and you people better start looking for your swimsuits.

He's got more experience piloting this ship than you do and the TARDIS will get the coordinates wrong. We're putting ourselves in more danger going after him in that than taking a manual way.

[But Kay is definitely right about the TARDIS having trouble locking on to the bridge coordinates.]

Could you...? ...Wait in the TARDIS with me? Just until we've landed wherever it is he's taking us. I don't want us scattered across the multiverse because Kirk pushed the wrong button.

Alright. But he'll be fine. Last time he had two other pilots with him, one of them a Time Agent. I'm really not worried about his piloting.

[He's mostly worried about him being a bratty dick.]

Time Agent. [He says with a bit of a disdainful sniff. The CIA never approved of them (or anyone who travelled through time who wasn't a Time Lord). But. They did know at least a little about time travel. (And then there was the Time Agent they met on Gallifrey that last time...) Well, maybe the Time Agent on the Barge had known what he was doing and taught Kirk the essentials. It makes Narvin a bit less terrified that Kirk is going to tear up the timelines.
