Introductions seem to be in order. I'm Sam Kirk, here filling in for my brother for a bit.
I have to be honest, I'm not sure if Jim was a Warden or an Inmate. I could see both, really. Since it's Jim. [AND THAT SHOULD SAY IT ALL]
Anyway, it's nice to meet you all.

[Sleeping in the same bed with someone wasn't really something new for Sam. Because you know, he was married. So it didn't really register with him immediately that something was off as he was waking up, still caught in that early morning fog where you don't really remember what happened last night. Like when you agreed to take your little brother's place on a prison boat.]

Jim, I just saw you a month ago. On Deneva, remember? You and your crew helped save millions of people, including my wife and son?

Or he could probably just override the lock because 1. it's probably his room from the future and 2. he's just that good at that kind of thing.]

Sam went to get the door, offering Jim a little bit of a smile when he saw him. For peace or something.]
"Looks like you found it alright."

Seeing him in person kind of just made the whole thing more real, and not really in a good way, because this was the guy who had said he wasn't a good enough reason to stick around and then hadn't been bothered to come back when their mom got sick.
So he just sort of scowled at the comment.]
"I'm not helpless, Sam."

"I didn't say you were." [Small pause.] "I'm pretty sure these are your quarters."

He looked around the room a little, sort of not sure of what to make of all this because it was pretty surreal to be here in the first place, let alone having Sam here and throwing all this stuff about the future andddd these kind of looked like captain's quarters, which was pretty fucking cool.]
"Don't know where else I'd be sleeping here." [Moron. But okay, changing the topic a little bit, Mr. I Am From The Future.] "Since when do I have a dog?"
