"Yeah, I can't disagree with that. He's been in and out of my office all year, when he even bothers showing up." She sighed. "He's at that age where everything has to be about him. He'll be fighting you for months because that's as long as it'll take him to get that you left because you were fucking up, not because he was."

"Most people have been giving him an easy ride about pressing charges because they think he's from such bad stock he can't help it," she said flatly. "But something needs to change before he gets to the point where a few months in juvenile hall might be something he needs to get his priorities straight."
