I'm back.

The Barge is still standing, it seems like. That's... nice.

So. How's everyone been? Still in one piece? Shego? Anyone new? Hello. I'm Captain James Kirk. I was here... a while ago.

[ooc; If you know Kirk reeeeeeeally really well, you might notice that he sounds kind of wheezy. It's not Enterprise if Kirk doesn't get injured at some point. And you really don't need both of your lungs, if you think about it. He's been gone for 4 months on his end so he really has no idea how long it's been here.]

[He walks over to and leans against a desk, rubbing a hand over one eye before responding.] "I haven't been sleeping much lately."

[Kirk goes to sit back down actually but standing is taxing.] "Any particular reason? Besides obviously missing me so much."

"Bruce, Steph, and Wally are gone. Superboy too. All within a few days of each other." [He shrugs a little halfheartedly.] "I'm down on people to keep me busy at night."

[Ah. Yeah, that'll make life pretty depressing. Kirk knows from experience. So he maybe makes an inappropriate joke.] "I certainly hope you weren't sleeping with all of them."

"Would you prefer me to projectile vomit on you or the floor?"

"Me. I can't reach the floor very well at the moment."

[Snicker.] "It's hard for me to sleep through the night unless I'm really exhausted. I was training Steph to make up for all the stuff she'd kind of missed out on, and I'd spar with Bruce and Wally. It's been hard with them gone."

[For other reasons too, but. :|]

"When I'm fully healed, I'll spar with you but you should really get legitimate help for this, you know."

"Thanks, Mom."

"Just saying. You can't work yourself to exhaustion every single day for the rest of your life."

"Jim, it's been a fact of life since I was eight. I can handle it."

"Oh don't give me that. You're talking to the master of childhood angst. And I'm not going to let this go easily."

[Dick would argue that that title goes to Bruce. :|a] "I'm fine. Honestly. I appreciate the concern, but everything's under control."

[TOPIC CHANGE.] "So, how was back home?"

[Jim glares at him for a little bit because of that. He knows what you're doing, fool. And he doesn't find it that cute.]

"It's good. Nearly losing a lung really brings the ship together."

"Everyone was getting along?" [Clinging to topic change like a baby koala. c:]
