[When Jim turns his back on Spock, he gets nerve-pinched.

Anyway, Jim will wake up on his bed to find his first officer sitting quite calmly at the desk.]

Kirk wakes up with a groan, rolling over onto his back for a few moments before he seems to realize that Spock is there and then he groans.]

[Kirk doesn't respond right away, too busy putting everything into place that's happened. Then he sits up and looks over at Spock with a frown.]

It seems Ms. Ivy has attacked people before, and since she did not kill you, or force you to kill someone, he considers it progress.

[Kirk remembers reading that conversation, just none of it really clicked until now.]

You've got to be kidding me. [He sounds rightly ticked because really, all he did was flirt.]

Progress would not be doing it in the first place.

Precisely. [Okay he does sound maybe annoyed.] I would advise you to keep away from this individual.

[Kirk rolls his eyes and doesn't bother to address that piece of advice as he reaches around for his communicator to see what he missed while unconscious.]

I flirted with her and then she drugged me, Spock. That was pretty much the extent of it.

As I suspected, her retaliation was disproportionate.

[Disproportionate. Kirk's not surprised by Spock's reaction, if he thinks about it, but sometimes, he'd really like it if the Vulcan would pay more attention to his human half.]
