A Message From Your New Captain

[Much like when the Admiral makes his announcements, the voice of one James T. Kirk floods the hallways and rooms of the Barge and he sounds oh so very pleased with himself.]

Attention people of the Barge.

We've had ourselves a little adventure recently and I won't bore you with the details because it's a long though at times, riveting tale. So I'll just cut to the chase: our dear Admiral isn't running this thing anymore.

I am.

James T. Kirk for those of you haven't had the pleasure. Along with Captain Harkness and Captain Solo who is taking control of the helm.

And yeah. That's all.

Have a nice day.

[ooc: Plot questions go here. IC freak outs or congratulations or WTFGETDOWNFROMTHERE happen here.]

I think it's more that you can't seem to accept that you're just plain wrong sometimes.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-08-02 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you really have any room to talk when it comes to knowing and accepting you're wrong?

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2009-08-02 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure. Leaving my ship was a huge mistake.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
As is what you are doing now.

You're going to wind up just like me.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
I doubt that. I'm never going to make it to be as old as you.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Better for me if I hadn't.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
So we both have things that we need to work on but believe me when I say that if I honestly thought that something was going to go wrong because of this, I wouldn't do it.

The Master never intended for the Great Healer to come aboard, either.

Things happen.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
You have my word that I'd lay down my life before I let someone attack the Barge and harm anyone on board.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
How old are you, Captain Kirk?

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
You are far too similar to what I was when I was your age.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Then perhaps I was assigned to you to figure out what went wrong and to learn a life lesson about how to stay on the side of good.

Any tips?

Stay away from war.

Grow up when it's time.

Too soon, I think.

I think mine's already upon me. I miss Starfleet sometimes even though I hate it because it stole my chance at having a decent childhood. I want to slap this lot with regulations that I broke myself once upon a time. I have this tickling of remorse.

It's terribly annoying.

And the Marquis has left the building.

You've got to be careful of that, Captain. The route that you go could
