A Message From Your New Captain

[Much like when the Admiral makes his announcements, the voice of one James T. Kirk floods the hallways and rooms of the Barge and he sounds oh so very pleased with himself.]

Attention people of the Barge.

We've had ourselves a little adventure recently and I won't bore you with the details because it's a long though at times, riveting tale. So I'll just cut to the chase: our dear Admiral isn't running this thing anymore.

I am.

James T. Kirk for those of you haven't had the pleasure. Along with Captain Harkness and Captain Solo who is taking control of the helm.

And yeah. That's all.

Have a nice day.

[ooc: Plot questions go here. IC freak outs or congratulations or WTFGETDOWNFROMTHERE happen here.]

You know me so well. I do hate logic so very, very much.

Why are you having doubts about this? Be honest with me.

Because it isn't for you or Solo or Jack to be taking command. You don't seem to be doing this for any reason other than boredom, and even if you did a good reason then you have no idea what the consequences of this are going to be. Something awful might happen. Why would you be so irresponsible?

Is it more irresponsible to allow someone who doesn't listen to us and never has anything to say or do for us besides put us through floods and crash this ship to remain in charge or shouldn't I do something to help change that and make life easier for everyone?

You're not going to convince that this is inspired by any sort of concern for the other people on board. All you want to do is play captain and pretend it's for the good of the Barge. As far as I'm concerned, if the Admiral didn't resist then it's only because he's waiting until you have enough rope to hang yourselves.
