I seem to be missing a dog.

He's black and white and has a great love for shoes and chasing sock balls.

[ooc; McCoy is actually finding the dog but all are free to have seen him and watch him EVADE CAPTURE because that's obviously what dogs do, the little shits.]

[McCoy had honestly not expected to have been greeted by a dog he apparently allegedly at one point used to own when he'd been here before as he was walking through a common room, and immediately wondered why Aristotle was just being allowed to roam free on a ship that was full of quasi-unrepentant murderers and god knows what else, plus two wolves. And he really didn't expect to see a note attached to said dog when he crouched down to pet him.

Maybe against any sense of privacy - but it was a note attached to a dog, it wasn't really the most private way of communicating with someone - he took the note off the dog's collar and opened it, eyebrows going up for a second only to furrow together when he saw what it actually said.

Putting it in his pocket, Aristotle following along behind, he headed over to Jim's room, and knocked on the door, because he was old fashioned and chimes or whatever could go fuck themselves.]

How did you manage to lose him?

[personal profile] wichita_kansas 2012-03-27 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
He snatched a favorite pair of socks -- if they're not destroyed by now. It's absurdly difficult to find good socks on this boat. It seems he's been bred with a Russian super-spy by the way that he evaded capture.

If he shows up at my door, I'll be sure to let you know.

[i.e. she's totes a better owner than you, captain.]

Always the optimist.

It's fine. He was good company. Consider the debt paid.

[personal profile] wichita_kansas 2012-03-27 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Is that still a regular thing?

[personal profile] wichita_kansas 2012-03-27 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Thank God for you, Captain. I thought all semblance of consistency was lost on this place.

At least you're employed. The rest of us are a bunch of no-good squatters.

I told you, dad, I'm going to be an artist.

"You're welcome." Only you could misplace a dog on a ship that was really pretty small when you thought about it. Or just walked around on it.

He pulled the note out of his pocket and held it up instead of moving to hand it over. "'Third time's the charm'?"
imaythrowuponyou: (Opinions plz?)

[personal profile] imaythrowuponyou 2012-03-27 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Not attached to a dog masquerading as a passenger pigeon, it isn't."
imaythrowuponyou: (I'm sorry I don't speak dumbass.)

[personal profile] imaythrowuponyou 2012-03-27 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
"I have no idea," he said, honestly, and maybe only sounding a little grouchy. "Who are you sending love notes to?"

And he was really mostly just kidding, because 'Third time's the charm' wasn't something actually romantic or anything, and let's be serious since when have you ever been into that sort of thing.

"Then what is it?"
