[After realizing Costigan was gone, Dick had immediately headed for Jim's room. It was late. He was kind of tired, but mostly just depressed and... shockingly a little more stable than he had been the first time this had happened, despite the rest of the violence that had gone on after port had ended. He was going to Jim for more of a distraction and comfort, and less of a need for someone to make sure he wasn't going to do anything stupid.

He knocked on the door.]

[That was probably good since Kirk wasn't the best at preventing stupid things. He liked to encourage them really.

He arched an eyebrow when he opened the door, but moved aside for Dick to enter if he wanted.] "What's up?"

[He opened his mouth to answer, but ended up taking a sort of short breath before, pausing, before saying:] "Costigan's gone again, and his warden's gone, so I have no idea if he's coming back or not. I'm guessing not. Are you busy?"

[That was shitty.]

"Uh. No. You want a beer? Or to pet my dog?"

"Sure. Yeah. If you're sure I'm not imposing."

"Seriously, you're not. I'm not very interesting. And he's sleeping under the coffee table." [You're getting the beer too, since you said yes to both technically.]

"Thanks." [And he is just coming inside and sitting on the couch, putting his elbows on his knees and rubbing his hands over his face before just sitting quietly and staring at the opposite wall.]

[You don't even pet the dog, you jerk. Kirk sets the beer down in front of him, and gives Aristotle a scratch behind the ear before taking a drink of his own.]

"So. Port was fun."

[PORT port is easier to talk about that was actually fun.] "Yeah. I rescued Summer from Leezar's slightly less creepy cousin's curse. What did you get up to?"

"Made googly eyes at Shego and talked to a chipmunk the whole time."

"What is it with you and Shego in port?"

[Jim just shrugged.] "The Admiral is a dirty old man."

"And an asshole." [Pause for drinking some of that beer.] "Did you know he doesn't know where people go either? When they vanish."

"Where did you hear that from? Don't they go back home?"

[The trust circle sounds totally gay.] "It isn't your fault."

[idk man it's late.] "It feels like it is."

"But it isn't. You can't force someone to do anything. You can try to help them all you want but in the end, it's their own decision if they listen or not."

"Yeah. He could be a real pain in the ass, but. I already miss him."
