.035 - it's strange facts time with Cap'n Kirk

Did you know, that a group of unicorns is called a blessing? And that a group of ravens is called a murder?

I've met mainly circus performers. And the magician Harry Houdini.

Do you? From a personal experience?

No shit?

Yeah, I've seen it. From a great distance. [Read: space]

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
No, I...haven't met any...sh-...sorry?

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
It's an expression, sorry.

So Canada. You have moose right?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see. [No George doesn't.]

Yes, certainly, but not in the city. Where are you from?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
That's somewhere in the middle, isn't it?

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah so you just find the most flat part covered with a lot of corn and there it is. If you miss it, you're pretty lucky.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Not much excitement, eh? I understand. I'm an adventure seeker myself.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Me too, that's why I went into space.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
That's much of the reason I came here as well.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
... hold on a second. You came here for adventure?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it is a sort of adventure, isn't it? Traveling through the stars. Meeting strange people you'd never have otherwise met. Seeing fantastic modern devices.

That wasn't my deal, though.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
You still haven't been here long have you? I can practically smell it on you.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Give it another six and still tell me this place is an adventure.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
I believe that I will, sir.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Your optimism is really refreshing, I have to say. And please just call me Jim.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you very much. I try to keep a positive outlook when I can. As a policeman, you see all of the terrible things people are capable of, and it can be easy to become disillusioned.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a military man myself. I think we have to be disillusioned or they think we're all mental.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-05-15 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I may have to agree to agree with you about that.
