I'm back. Any disasters--actually, lie to me if there was. I don't need to know.

[Private to Shego]

You're graduating. This isn't negotiable anymore.

[ooc; I found a few free hours, so.. here you go, TLV. Have space captain back. Also I'm back from my hiatus c: ~~mostly~~.]

[Kirk shows up a few minutes later, with a beer in one hand as he slides into the seat next to her.]

"So I know why I need a drink. Why do you?"

[Uhura looked over and shook her head.] The same reason as you, only I didn't get a handy little vacation to get everything sorted. Instead, I stayed here. With my violent inmate and your bratty one.

"I'm sorry she didn't behave." [Kirk said, worrying on his bottom lip for a moment.] "What'd Paddy do now?"

She didn't do anything wrong. She was just...a brat. [Uhura leaned back a bit and just glanced up to the ceiling. What DIDN'T Paddy do?]

He's just...himself. Beating up people, though...he apologized to me about that. Just...right out and apologized and walked himself down to zero.

[Kirk frowned somewhat at that.] "Is that progress or is he up to something?"

I really want to say progress. He's changed in ways I don't really understand. I'm hoping it's progress.

[She took a drink and just stared at the table.] But I feel like he's doing it on his own. So I don't know what exactly he's done and what he's hiding.

"You're kind of a hardass. I don't doubt that he's starting to shape up."

[Uhura pretended to look offended.]

I am not a...hardass. [Or was she?] McCoy is a hardass. Spock is a hardass.

[Kirk started laughing and rolled his eyes.] "Bones can't say no to me. And Spock is learning the same thing."

[Uhura just looked at him, smirking a bit.] I have told you no plenty of times before.

"And it breaks my heart every single time." [Kirk downed probably a third of his beer before adding,] "The hardass doesn't work on Shego does it?"

I wasn't a hardass on her. I tried to be nice. That didn't work.

"Yeah, she doesn't respond to kindness." [Kirk shrugged and took another drink off his bottle.] "She kinda reminds me of me sometimes."

Well, I'm not going to treat her like I treat you, Captain. [She laughed and just finished off her drink, wincing a bit as it burned.]

"Is that a compliment or an insult?"

How are you going to take it? [She laughed again and just played with her hair for a moment, wondering how they had even gotten to this point.]

"I dunno. Ask me again when I'm sober." [Kirk finished off his drink and winked at her.]

"If I order you to leave when Shego graduates, will you?"

Are you going to order me to leave when Shego graduates? [She folded her arms across her chest, trying her best to look annoyed.]

"I'm going back to Enterprise when she does. And I expect everyone to come with me."

[Uhura gave him a sad smile, not nearly drunk enough to pretend like she didn't care.] Yeah, Jim. I'll go. Of course I'll go.

[Jim watched her for a few moments before he reached over and squeezed her arm.]

"Thank you."
