.071 - he missed you guys (lol no he didn't)

I'm back. Any disasters--actually, lie to me if there was. I don't need to know.

If you're new here, then welcome. I'm Captain James T. Kirk and you're probably going to hate it here in a few months.

[Private to Shego]

You're graduating. This isn't negotiable anymore.

[ooc; I found a few free hours, so.. here you go, TLV. Have space captain back. Also I'm back from my hiatus c: mostly.]

Private - NO HE KIRKED. ITS CANON.

Some people claim to have seen me on "television".

Private - OH, FINE. IF YOU WANT TO CALL IT THAT.

[identity profile] future-games.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't own a television back home.

Private - ITS COOLER AND WE ALL KNOW IT

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you just saw me around here before you painted it.

Private - FIIIINE. BUT ISAAC IS GETTING TIRED OF NO ONE BELIEVING HIM.

[identity profile] future-games.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe. But there was a green woman in the painting as well, and I think I'd know if I'd seen her before.

Private - Kirk'll come around. Maybe.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Red or black hair?

Private - And then he will recieve a bullet in the chest because it is Isaac's ~curse~ :c

[identity profile] future-games.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Black.

Private - and it's Kirk's curse to be maimed in some way. This sucks :c

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
That's Shego then. My Inmate.

Can I see this painting?

Private - :c yes it does. TOO MUCH SAD.

[identity profile] future-games.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
If you'd like to. Should I bring it to you, or did you want to come to me?

Private - very sad :c

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
I can come to you. Where are you at?

Private - D: Kirk cannot be maimed. The world would die.

[identity profile] future-games.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Level 6, cabin 9.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 02:42 am (UTC)(link)

[Kirk still doesn't really buy that this guy painted the future. Especially since Shego was on the Barge and it had to have been here since the only other green person Kirk knew had red hair. And was kind of dead.

But he went to Isaac's room anyway, just to humor him. And to see what the painting looked like.

He knocked a couple times before calling out.] "Isaac? It's Kirk."

[By this point in his life, or rather his afterlife, Isaac was used to people not believing in his gift. After all, it had taken ages for him to convince Simone when she had been the only one who mattered at the time.

It was only recently that Isaac's ability had begun to work again. He had come to realize that, however, that even in his deepest moments of concentration, the visions didn't always come. He had mixed feelings on the subject. At times, he remembered just how afraid of his ability he was, but it was a part of him, and it frustrated him to never have complete control over it.

When the man from his painting arrived, Isaac pushed his way through the cluttered cabin to open the door, offering nothing more than a short nod as he stepped aside to allow him through.

"Don't worry about it, my quarters are about the same." [Not really but he did like to leave his clothes and PADDs all over the place and now that he was watching Sam Winchester's dog, he didn't expect that to change much.]

"So where's this painting?"

[Gesturing his head towards a stack of paintings in the corner, Isaac waved Kirk in and silently began to search through the canvases for the painting in question. The painting was plucked from its place in the stack and placed onto the cluttered desk, propped up against the wall for Kirk to inspect as he pleased.]

"This--I painted this a few weeks ago. I've never met you, and I've never met her."

"That doesn't surprise me since she hates everyone who's ever breathed."

[Kirk turned as critical of an eye as he could on the piece of art, given that he was really no art critic. Science and math had always been more of his thing. The best he could come up with was that guy was talented and maybe a liar. Or just crazy.]

"Why would you paint us if you've never met us? Assuming you can paint the future."

[Isaac sighed deeply, standing back to rub his eyes wearily as he watched Kirk observe the painting. It was obvious that he was taking the scene apart piece by piece, trying to come up with something that made a little more sense than the fact that it was a prophecy on canvas.]

"I can't choose what I paint. I don't have that much control over it. I never have. I'm sure I've painted other people on the barge, but I just happened to recognize you."

[He paused to cross his arms over his chest, turning a critical eye to Kirk.]

"You don't have to believe me, you know. I'm used to that, but I'm not a liar."

"I never said that I didn't believe you." [Mostly just because he was keeping his options open, in that if this was real, it was pretty interesting and if this guy was a crazy person, it was better to get more information out of him.]

"Do you have any others?"

"Most people don't. Not right away, at least." [Somehow, the ability to fly was just more believable to people than a man who could paint the future. This was something that had always confused Isaac, but he had learned to put up with it. People believed what they wanted to believe.]

"Dozens. I assume most of them are still in New York, but a few of those in the corner might be something."

[Unquestioning of this request, Isaac silently strode across the room and began to line the paintings up against the wall. There were far fewer than what he would even have completed in one night at home, but it was within good reason. He stood back and vaguely gestured, welcoming Kirk to take a closer look.]

"I only recently started painting again. This is everything I've done since I've been here."
