I haven't been wooed by any religious affiliation. So I suppose you could call that atheist.

As long as you don't plan on telling me I can't exist, I don't have the slightest problem with it, really.

I still don't see what's to dislike about Christmas, however. Even if you don't partake in any of the religious activities, the winter solstice has long been a source of hope and merriment among humankind. I think the idea is beautiful.

I accept that you exist. The notion of you being a real, honest Angel of God is up for some debate.

I can celebrate hope and merriment any other day of the year too.

I'd buy that angels and demons are either ancient races that died out or aren't from Earth but their religious affiliations have no meaning.

[Aziraphale made his way down the two floors, telling himself firmly that it was not in his purview to judge, and anyway Captain Kirk was justified in his suspicion of others, especially given they were on a prison ship.

He told himself that quite firmly. Then he knocked on the door.]

[This was one of the few times that Jim was glad that Bones was a doctor and had other things to be doing because he would absolutely had angel healing voodoo. Which was why he had no intention of telling Bones and flushing the rest of his pills, if it worked. If it failed, then he really had nothing to lose, now did he?

Wincing slightly, Kirk got up to answer the door, beckoning the angel inside.]

"Where do you want me?"

[Instantly any bitterness was overridden by concern.]

Oh my, really, you poor dear. I shouldn't make you wait an instant. Right there is fine.

[Aziraphale frowns and kind of waves his hand through the air, and all of a sudden Kirk is fine. Better than fine, in fact. Probably the best he's ever felt before (and also smelling faintly of jasmine).]

"What, it's not that bad--"

[At least, he's had worse. And now it doesn't matter at all because it doesn't hurt even a little. He looks down just to check it and yep, no sign of any damage.

He's ignoring that jasmine thing for thing now.]

"... um, thanks I guess. That was really easy."

[He smiles as beatifically as is possible for a slightly overweight British man wearing a rather frumpy jumper.]

"Fine, trusting isn't all bad. But you can save that speech about how faith heals all for another time."

[Dryly,] I'll be sure to get to it right after harp practice.

[Kirk smirks just a bit. So begrudgingly, he sort of likes this angel.] "Aren't you supposed to have wings and a flowy dress too?"
