[Around the time that Kirk usually barges over into Shego's apartment to pester her for the evening, there is the same kind of knock but when she opens the door she won't find him. She will see Aristotle there. With a note attached to his collar. It's a limerick about Shego's hair. Because... that's romance?]

She stared at him. The idea that he was exposing a vulnerable, artistic side of himself didn't even deserve the quarter of a second she spent on dismissing it.

Kirk had no idea if he actually had an artistic side. He just wanted to woo her and girls like poetry and stuff right.

"Flowers are kind of hard to come by," he pointed out, as more of a mumble than full of his usual sass.

"Why do I need a holiday to tell you--" Jim stopped talking suddenly, looking firmly at the ground. He couldn't tell her that he liked her, really really liked her without some kind of gesture. Otherwise she wouldn't believe him and he wasn't sure what he'd do if she laughed at him. Probably cry.

Shego gave him a slightly deer-in-headlights-y blank stare before just shaking her head and stepped back. Either there was a flood on or he was atypically drunk but either way she was aborting this conversation right now.

Wow, that was way more crushing than he had been expecting. Kind of like his whole world had no meaning. He liked her a lot, why couldn't she just like him back. Was he that terrible?
