This weekend I learned that I'm destined to marry Spock, settle down on New Vulcan, have 14 mostly human children, drive a red corvette and live happily ever after as a space pirate.

I really have a lot to look forward to in life.

[Have a tiny, tiny pause and then he actually sounds sincere about this next part.]

You assume we had a friendship were we talked about our feelings.

[Pause for backpedaling.]

He's Han's First Officer and co-pilot.

Alright, go on.

He owes a life debt to Han because Han saved his life. They're inseparable, brothers even.

I wouldn't say that Spock and I are that close. Not yet anyway.

Maybe eventually.

Destiny is a very big word.

[Very sarcastically:] It's only three syllables.

So is "I love you" and that causes millions of people grief every day.

Do you usually incorporate love with your Vulcan?

Don't ask me how I know this because it's hard to explain but we're supposed to be best friends. Like closer than brothers. Hell, I've felt that bond before, what it's going to be in like 50 years. It's the same way that I'm supposed to be in command of the Enterprise.

But I don't know if I really want any of it.

I can sympathize. I'm supposed to have an evil child and the other one will kill him eventually.

And that why is having children is a bad idea.

I completely agree. Han had to talk me into considering it. He left the Barge for Jacen.
