.002 - man he misses space

I've always wondered what life would be like as a musical.

[He seems unaffected but that's a lie. He's humming The Beatles "Hello Goodbye" under his breath. Push him and he'll probably break into all Beatles songs ever.]

This is a flood right?

he's a freakish space captain

You should. I've probably got all of these songs on a data chip. [Or he could sing them to you!]
with_discipline: (I hear the sound of something illogical.)

I'm seeing more and more 'Trip is a Kirk' correlations

[That wouldn't be awkward at all.] May I borrow it?

:D his great great grandaddy was cool okay

I'll bring it over to you later.
with_discipline: (Did you have something useful to add?)

DAMN STRAIGHT he was. c:

[And so later that night, STILL HUMMING, Kirk knocks on T'Pol's door, data chip in hand. Oh and he's kind of bouncing around to the music in his head.]

[That humming is going to drive her crazy. Talk to her about science so she can break into song! She opens the door, arching an eyebrow.] Captain.

[Talk to her about science? That sounds dirty. Jim stopped humming. Or tried to. It was hard okay.]

Commander. I've got that music you asked me for.

[It is dirty. Vulcan style. T'Pol steps out of the way, lifting a hand to gesture him in.] Thank you. What era is this music from?

[Kirk nods at her slightly and enters her room.] 1960's Earth. They're from England originally. People flipped their shit over these guys in their day.

[One eyebrow lifts; mostly because she's trying to imagine Malcolm flipping his shit over the Beatles. It. Really isn't working all that well, so she just lets the door close.]

They were very talented, then?

[Malcom's too stiff to enjoy music. Everyone knows this.]

[It's clearly the stick up his ass. And she's struggling with her curiosity for a moment before giving in.]

I'm partial to jazz. Do you know any?

"Not a lot, no." [It wasn't fast paced enough for him.] "What kind of music do you have on Vulcan?"

[Less screaming lyrics, too. She cocks her head to the side, thoughtful.] Instrumental, usually. There are some educational ballads for children. [Sh. Really doesn't listen to Vulcan music all that often.]
