.069 - this deserves to fail school

[Voice - there's a long pause at the beginning before Kirk starts talking. His voice is Very Carefully Controlled which means he's upset because his biffle is gone :c]

Doctor McCoy isn't on the Barge.

Just... for your reference.

[Another long, long pause and then Kirk cuts off the transmission. EVERYTHING FROM HERE ON OUT IS TEXT. But uh, feel free to spam harass him because lol he's probably drinking :|]

[I'm letting that slide. It might make you feel better. :|]

...Are you well?

[It does. Insulting people really takes off the edge.]

No. Yes. I've been better.

He's probably back on Enterprise doing his job. So I'm fine.
with_discipline: (I'm just thinking there are better plans)

That is what I would expect a captain to say of his crew.

[Private]

Which might be why I said it. Just a thought.
with_discipline: (Wait let me consider this bullshit.)

But not what I would expect a friend to say of another.

It's logical. I thought you'd like it.
with_discipline: (I'm sorry you did what now)

[Hnnng pause. It's story time now.]

Captain Archer and Commander Tucker were friends long before they joined the crew of the Enterprise. Several years ago, Trip asked to be transferred to the Columbia; as senior officer, Captain Archer could have refused. As his friend, it would have been uncaring.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Why'd he request the transfer?
with_discipline: (Well. That's retarded.)

[OF ALL THAT that is what you take and hng. The only awkward thing in there. Damn it.] Personal reasons.

[IT'S THE REASONS THAT MATTER.]

Did Archer approve it?
with_discipline: (Seriously could you get hurt more.)

[WELL FFF.]

He did. That was several years ago; Trip changed his mind.

I'd still rather that McCoy stayed on Enterprise.

But you would appreciate his companionship.

[After a pause]

I did say that Trip was transferred.

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Did you take it personally then when he asked to leave?
with_discipline: (I should really grow my hair out.)

[Private]

[personal profile] with_discipline 2010-04-28 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
It's possible it wasn't his choice to leave, isn't it?

[Private]

[identity profile] captain-jtkirk.livejournal.com 2010-04-29 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Then it means something's wrong.
with_discipline: (Wait let me consider this bullshit.)

Perhaps. Perhaps not. I find it difficult to trust in the Admiral and his reasoning at all times. In any case, it will do little but frustrate you to consider that possibility.
