I think the Admiral is handing out files on Wardens to their Inmates.

"It might be broken, it's pretty sore. I'll bug Martha about it if it's still bothering me later. So, deck or CES?"

"You think I'm going to go run with you while you have a broken bone in your face?"

"It's not wrecking my ability to run. And it might be broken."

"It looks broken. And if it is, running will not help it."

[Eyeroll. :\] "Fine, Mom, I'll go talk to Martha."

"That's a good boy. If it's broken, I'll give you a kiss to make it better too."

"Very funny." [And he is retrieving his ice pack, which is wrapped in a towel.] "He might try and argue otherwise? But I barely even deserved it this time."

"You should keep explaining that."

"How much time do you have?"

"I don't have any pressing appointments if that's your question."

"Well in that case." [He's going to head over to a couch and sit down and start icing his face. You're welcome to come over too and there's beer in the fridge.] "I forget, have I told you why I'm here?"

[Ah beer. You know what Jim likes. He shakes his head a little bit as he takes a seat.] "Nope."

"I got sent to Bludhaven a while after I became Nightwing for a case, and I kind of adopted it as my own city to look after. It made Gotham look like something out of a Disney movie crime rate wise, but, you know. It was my city." [He's hoping you understand this because of the whole Enterprise thing.] "About a year ago - plus Barge time now, I guess - a living nuclear warhead was dropped on the city, killing one hundred thousand sixty eight people. The city's uninhabitable now, the survivors were evacuated... And after the universe almost ended and we got back home, I came here to fix it."

[He paused to shift the ice pack.] "Slade's the one who ordered the strike."

"Fuck." [The curse slipped out before he could help it. Though honestly, there's no crime on Enterprise okay. The analogy isn't complete.]

"And you crossed his path how?"

"It's a small Barge, wrong place, wrong time, we both spend way too much time in the gym... Take your pick."

[... alright yeah, Jim could understand that.] "You're not going to go for retaliation are you?"

[He let out a short snort of laughter.] "No. That's probably what he wants me to do. And the minute I start consciously doing what he wants is probably a sign that the universe is about to implode or something."
